The Somaliland Development Fund (SDF) is a 4 - year fund designed to support the Government of Somaliland (GoSL) filling a critical gap supporting projects that are fully aligned to the National Development Plan (NDP). SDF is currently funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) and the Norwegian Government. (Norway).

The objective of the Somaliland Development Fund (SDF) is improved and better resourced core state functions for the people ofSomaliland.

The Somaliland Development Fund (SDF) is a 4 - year fund designed to support the Government of Somaliland (GoSL) filling a critical gap supporting projects that are fully aligned to the National Development Plan (NDP). SDF is currently funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), Norwegian Embassy and the Netherlands. The SDF has allocated funding for implementation of Sool and Sanaag Education Project in Somaliland implemented by the Ministry of Education (MoE). The MoE intends to use a part of the funding for engage the services of a Project Administrator to the Project for a period of 3 years.

 

The Somaliland Development Fund Secretariat on behalf of the Ministry of Education now invites applications from qualified professionals for the above position. The position will be based at the Project Management Team offices in the Ministry of Education.

 

Required Qualifications/Skills

 

 At least a Bachelor’s degree in either Finance Management, Commerce, Procurement, Business Administration;

 Minimum 5 years demonstrated administration functions experience with the UN, International NGOs, and Development Projects;

 Proven experience in general administration, finance, procurement, security and transport;

 Energetic and able to work independently with high sense of responsibility;

 Demonstrated excellent command of spoken and written English;

 Proven interpersonal and diplomatic skills; and

 Understanding of how government systems in Somaliland work.
